Samsung SCH B500 Review
Samsung Electronics has introduced its SCH-B500 mobile phone, which supports DMB services. This is a slider 13.5 mm thick with multimedia functionality.
The device is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, an MP3-player, a QVGA (240×320 pixels) LCD and Bluetooth interface. In spite of the fact it is introduced for the Korean market, the phone supports English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese languages.
The Samsung SCH B500 promises to change things. Its slider form factor make it extremely convenient to carry around. Like other DMB handsets, the display is able to re-adapt itself for horizontal television watching. The 2.12 inch TFT LCD is felt not sufficient can be replaced by plugging in the handset to a larger display (T.V. out supported).
A 2 megapixel camera, microSD card slot for increasing memory and MP3 playback functionality (VOD and MOD too) with Bluetooth compatibility are some of the other features of the Samsung SCH B500. The petitish handset has dimensions of 100.6 x 51.5 x 13.5 mm.

The camera module is able to do 3x optical zoom, and is all built in to 18.5 mm thick body. The B500 is able to work in landscape mode, which allow you to take photo like a camera. Phone display can be output to TV so you can most likely watch DMB programme with a phone and TV. T-Flash slot is a must for more memory space.

The phone is compatible with the CDMA2000 1x EVDO cellular standard and packs a 2-megapixel digital still camera, a QVGA resolution (240 pixels by 320 pixels) display, MP3 player, Bluetooth, document view and TV output. There’s also an audio book feature that will read aloud three fairy tales in any of four languages: Korean, Chinese, Japanese and English.

The phone has yet to be officially announced, so details are vague. But we do know that like most Samsung products, the Koreans will get to enjoy it first. Another awesome feature included is DMB TV reception, which should make a perfect match for the phone’s large LCD display.
