The Sky IM-R200 is the first handset that we are aware of that features an LCD touch screen keypad, separate from the handset’s main LCD display. This opens up all sorts of options for customizability and adaption of the keypad for the specific task currently being performed on the handset, but also has the disadvantage of removing any sort of tactile feedback when using the device.
As with most Asia-only handsets, other specifications of the Sky IM-R200 are not bad either. The device features a 2.0 megapixel camera with auto focus, 116MB of on board memory with microSD memory expansion, and a media player with simulated 3D sound.
Features:
* LCD touch screen keypad
* 116 MB internal memory
* microSD memory expansion
* media player with simulated 3D sound

Pantech & Curitel’s high-end brand, SKY, has just announced their newest phone - the SKY IM-R200 slider. While this baby is packed with a 2 megapixel camera (with autofocus), microSD slot, 116 MB onboard memory, and secondary video conference camera, the nifty LCD keypad is what gets us all excited about the newest slider to hit the press.

Smudgy glossy surfaces and touch screens are so ‘in’ today! After some very cool mobiles, Sky Mobile thought they should break the monotony while still benefiting from the hype and have released the Sky IM-R200. On first glance, it seems to be yet another black shiny slider phone, but upon opening it you’ll find there is no keyboard but instead another display.
Pantech Sky IM-R200 price at $799
