The Centro runs the four-year-old Palm OS 5, with a 312-MHz processor and plenty of memory . There’s 65MB free on board, and the device offers support for MicroSD cards up to 4GB. My Kingston 4GB card worked fine. Like most Palm OS devices, the Centro feels really fast. Applications respond quickly to taps, and the screen redraws instantly, especially when compared with much slower Windows Mobile gadgets. Also, like other Palm handsets, the Centro comes with easy-to-use contact and calendar applications and the option to sync via USB or Bluetooth with the free Palm Desktop or Microsoft Outlook, on PCs or Macs.

Palm and Vodafone will ship the 750v with Microsoft’s Messaging and Security Feature Pack (also known as AKU2), which includes Direct Push and data access to Exchange server, for free out of the box. This delivers push e-mail, calendar entries, contacts, and tasks; native S/MIME support, certificate-based authentication to all Exchange data; and remote and local device wipe. The new Treo also supports Vodafone Business Email for remote access to enterprise and Internet-based e-mail accounts.

The 750v will greatly resemble previous smartphones from Palm, but, unlike its predecessors, not need an external antenna. It will have a tablet design, with a 240-by-240-pixel touchscreen above an alphanumeric keyboard.
It will run Window Mobile 5.2 for Pocket PC on a 300 MHz processor from Samsung. This device will have 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM, about 60 MB of which will be available to uses as non-volatile internal storage. A miniSD card slot will provide additional storage.

It’s a powerful Palm Powered™ organizer.
The Treo 270/300 smartphone puts everything you need to organize your life right at your fingertips. You get all your favorite Palm OS applications, including Address Book, Date Book Plus, To Do List, Memo Pad, and more. And for tasks like updating your calendar, creating a to-do list, and writing a memo, the built-in keyboard is much faster than Graffiti®.
Review By Imobile.com
The Treo 270 allows three methods of voice communications - through the standard handset mode (sound is provided through the earpiece module inside the active lid, with the microphone located below the shift/find and space bar buttons), using the speakerphone feature, or via the ear bud headset.
Calls can be made by simply opening the lid and typing the name or number of the person you want to call. The phone dialler application has the ability to differentiate whether you are typing in a name of a person in the phone book, or whether the input is simply a telephone number. Speed dials can also be assigned via the phone dialler application, with up to 49 entries available for use.
In-call functions are displayed on the LCD screen while the phone is in use, while you can also utilise other Palm-OS applications during the call (with the exception of the web browser, for obvious reasons). Calls can be either rejected or diverted to voicemail by simply pressing any button .
