Helio has announced the launch of the Mysto for its Korean-language customers. This slider from Samsung shares the same design as the popular U600 for Europe. It will have EV-DO data with full HTML browser, a 2 megapixel camera, GPS, music player, stereo Bluetooth, and support for up to 4GB in the microSD memory card slot. The version available tomorrow will have Korean-language keypads and documentation. A regular English version of the Mysto will become generally available to all Helio customers in mid to late January. However, the Helio stores in Santa Monica, CA, and New York City will have a limited supply of the English versions of the Mysto available on December 26. The Mystos will not be displayed in the stores; Helio subscribers interested in a Mysto must ask to see one from behind the counter. The Mysto will sell for $149.

Helio has recently launched a new PC-synchronization software, Helio Player PC, to allow members to manage their media. This software, available free of charge to Helio members, allows users to easily manage their pictures, videos, and music, and then transfer their media to their Helio device.
Helio Player PC also integrates the Helio Music Store, which allows users to purchase tracks on their PC. Tracks purchased on the PC cost US$.99, while tracks purchased over the air on a phone cost $1.99, which includes a copy for the user’s PC as well. The new software, which is only available for Windows XP and Vista computers, will automatically convert any media being transferred to a Helio handset, making sure that it is in a compatible format.
