After tasting success with Stealth, Professional and Midas touched versions, Mobiado has come out with yet another elite limited edition Mobiado Lucido for those seeking the ultimate opulent exclusivity. MWg, formerly O2 Asia, has announced the Zinc II, sporting a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen display. This smartphone is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and features a whopping 1,530mAh battery, for extended battery life.
The Zinc II is ready to play, as well, with a 2 megapixel autofocus camera and a microSD card slot for extra expansion. A built-in GPS receiver enables convenient location services, and the miniUSB port is used for audio, charging, and data connectivity.
The MWg Zinc II features quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100MHz) support, alongside WiFi for high-speed connectivity. With specs like these, this smartphone appears to be ready for anything.
Pricing and availability information has not been released yet.

Though they’ve already been well documented (heck, they’re already on sale in some parts of the world), Nokia’s just now getting around to making its foursome of Supernovas official. The new line reps mid-range fashion (think L’Amour, but not over the top) and comes in your choice of two candybars, a flip, or a slider as the 7210, 7310, 7510, or 7610, respectively. The 7210 features a tri-band GSM radio plus EDGE, a 2 megapixel camera, and an FM radio; look for it to launch in the third quarter for €120 (about $189). The 7310 apes the 7210’s look but adds support for changeable Xpress-On faceplates, TV-out, and support for GSM 850, and while all that extra kit adds €35 (about $55) to the price over the lesser model, it’s available now. The 7510 goes for the flip form factor but carries over most of the 7310’s spec sheet, waiting it out until the fourth quarter for a €180 (about $283) launch in scary colors like “Fatal Red”. Finally, the 7610 (no, not that one) moves up to a beefier 3.2 megapixel camera and hits next quarter for €225 (about $354).

VTech announced its latest cordless landline phone today called the IS6110. One glance at the phone and you can tell it was designed to resemble mobile smartphones with its design. The phone features a full QWERTY keyboard which seems like an odd feature for a cordless phone.
The QWERTY thumb-style keyboard is to make the instant messaging capabilities of the phone easier to use. The phone provides free access to MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger.
To get access to the IM applications the included base unit has to be connected to a USB port on your PC. Other features of the phone include a large LCD with color and click-to-talk feature that allows for peer-to-peer voice chats. The phone is available now for $99.99.
