E-TEN will show off the newly announced Glofiish M810 and V900 at the forthcoming 3GSM mobile phone event in Spain, the company has announced.
The two new models are the first in a new range of Pocket PC Phones focusing on portable entertainment and "go-anywhere" comms aimed at web-savvy consumers.
The Glofiish V900 is E-TEN’s first Pocket PC Phone to feature mobile TV with support for DVB-H, DVB-T, TDMB and DAB broadcasting.
The V900 offers a VGA display and HSDPA, GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity as well as GPS functionality and an all-new touch-based interface.
The Glofiish M810 is a HSDPA, Wi-Fi b/g and GPS ready handset. Aimed at bloggers and podcasters, it offers a full QWERTY keyboard, a 2-megapixel auto-focus camera for image and video capture with what’s claimed to be easy instant web upload.
Not due to launch until the second half of 2008, Pocket-lint will be attending the 3GSM/World Mobile Congress event so will aim to bring you more info on these new handsets from the show floor.

E-Ten plans to make its first aggressive step into media-friendly phones by tapping digital broadcasts, according to samples obtained by the forums of Russian fan site EtenClub. The V900 will reportedly be one of the few devices to support multiple digital over-the-air formats at once with Europe’s DVB-H (handheld) and DVB-T (terrestrial) supported alongside Korea’s T-DMB standard; DAB audio broadcast support for the UK will also be standard. A small front camera points to the device supporting 3G Internet access. US support is unknown, though historical evidence would suggest full support for both calling and AT&T’s 3G (HSDPA) network.
Other details revealed in the hands-on point to an unusually fast 667MHz Samsung processor, a glossy display instead of the matte finish that normally comes with phones, as well as 128MB of RAM to handle Windows Mobile. Photos prove a product flyer to be accurate and suggest the device will be announced in black and blue color schemes by the Mobile World Congress show on February 11th.

ETen has a spanking new GPS-capable PDA smartphone known as the Glofiish X650 that can currently be seen on the FCC website, indicating a release in the US pretty soon. The X650 pretty much resembles the X600, although it comes in a slightly different shade. As for its features, everything pretty much ranks the same with the X600 save for the addition of an integrated FM transmitter. There is a possibility of a VGA display, but that remains to be confirmed. Would be nice to see 3G connectivity with the X650 though.

While ETEN Glofiish X800 is still not on sale (it was presented at various trade shows already), a successor to this phone - with slide-out QWERTY keyboard - is being released! Interestingly it has almost all the features that HTC Kaiser (aka HTC TyTN II) has: built-in GPS, HSDPA, WiF, Bluetooth, 3G video calling, … but it also has something that neither HTC Kaiser nor any other HTC phone can offer: VGA (640×480) display in a pocket-size device (!):
Some specifications:
* 500 MHz Samsung processor
* 256 MB ROM
* 2 cameras
* VGA display
* Windows Mobile 6 Professional (i.e. Windows Mobile 6 for touch-screens)
* HSDPA / UMTS
* SiRFstar III GPS chip
* 1530 mAh battery
* available since November 2007
* expected price: 599 to 629 Euro
* standard 2.5 mm stereo headset connector (instead of prioprietary one used in HTC phones)

E-TEN recently announced the latest addition to its portfolio of Pocket PC phones, the creatively titled glofiish X500. The manufacturer claims the glofiish X500 is the thinnest Pocket PC phone in the world that incorporates WiFi and GPS functionality, and with a thickness of only 15.5mm (0.61″), it is hard to argue with that statement.

For many the ideal mobile device would combine phone and GPRS capabilities for voice and data on the move; Wi-Fi® for high-speed Internet and LAN connectivity; and GPS satellite communications for easy navigation and travel. The glofiish X500 delivers all these functions as well as Bluetooth® 2.0, multimedia video and audio capabilities, and a 2 mega-pixel camera and (thanks to a high-performance 400MHz processor) even allows users to access multiple features or applications simultaneously making it the ultimate all-in-one device for both businesses and consumers.
