Benq unveiled its C36 yesterday, a candybar music phone that is initially headed to Indonesia. The C36 features dedicated music playback buttons in addition to stereo speakers hidden around the camera’s lens. The 1.3 megapixel camera also records video, and there is a built-in photo editor on the C36 that allows you to edit your photos wherever you are.
The Benq C36 also comes with a health management application, an e-book reader, and the ability to function as a PC webcam when connected to your computer. Connectivity is handled by dual-band GSM (900/1800MHz) and there is a built-in FM radio with the ability to record broadcasts for later listening. A microSD memory card slot gives the C36 room for lots of storage space.
Pricing and availability information for the BenQ C36 have not yet been released.

The T60 comes well equipped with multimedia features that include a 3.2 megapixel camera, video camcorder, MP3 player, and FM radio. Bluetooth A2DP support for stereo Bluetooth headsets is also built-in.
The BenQ T60 supports GSM/EDGE connections on the 900 and 1800MHz frequency bands and should provide up to 2.5 hours of talk time or 7.5 days of standby. The T60 is set to be available in Taiwan, Bangladesh, and Turkey this month.

On Monday BenQ announced the E72, a fashion-oriented smartphone based on Windows Mobile 6. The E72 sports quad-band GSM support and WiFi for high-speed connectivity as well as Bluetooth 2.0 for wireless headsets.
The BenQ E72 also has a 2.0 megapixel camera with video capture and a 2.0″ 240×320 pixel resolution screen. This device comes with MunduIM pre-installed, allowing users to connect to AIM, ICQ, Yahoo!, MSN, and Gtalk chat clients right out of the box. The E72 has 128MB of internal flash memory, as well as a microSD card slot for expanded memory, with support for capacities up to 2GB.

The S88 oozes multimedia from every angle. It’s got an integrated 2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and 16x digital zoom, virtual 3D surround sound, a LED photolight for taking pictures under low-light conditions and MPEG-4 video support. The unique feature of the S88 is that you hold the phone in a horizontal position to take photographs - just like a digital camera. You can touch-up the photographs using the built-in photo editor - a useless feature in my opinion.

The BenQ-Siemens E61 is a fun camera phone which comes in a classic bar styled handset. The colour of the handset really brings the phone to life with its bright orange edging & silver coloured casing. The handset weighs 88 grams & measures 101 x 44 x 17 mm which is a light & manageable weight & size for a camera phone. The user can extend the phones 1 Mbyte of internal memory with the microSD™ memory card facility which can be extended up to 1 Gbyte.

The new business division of BenQ Corporation, BenQ Mobile launched this at CeBit 2006. It has unique in wedge shape and also feels exceedingly good to hold. It’s orange and silver color scheme is so eye-catching. So it is unusual in design and a remarkable feast for the both the eye and the ear.

Phone’s dimensions – 101×44x17mm, weight – 96 grams. You can carry this handset however you like, there are no problems with it at all. One of unusual construction elements are music player control buttons that are located on top side. When keypad is locked you can press Play button for quite a while and player will launch. Buttons do not have any special points or relief peculiarities so that it would be easy to differ them when you don’t have the ability to see them.

There’s a 512MB MiniSD card in the box which is enough to store around 120 songs. The handset also accepts cards up to 1GB in size. The built-in music player is pretty poor. The track library is little more than a basic file browser and, annoyingly, if you have a folder inside another folder, the tracks inside the second folder refuse to show up.
