A MERC mobile- Chinese at there anti-license best.

imageYes this is a new mobile phone that has a simple yet bold statement to make. All it says is that if Mercedes can make awe inspiring cars, then why not associate it with other industries that have no relation to it what so ever. The QKfone G998 is a pocket PC based mobile phone with the Mercedes emblem generously put right at the 4way interface button. it also features a world map on the back. Speaking of specs, there’s also the dual-band GSM radio, dedicated gaming keys, 2 MP camera, 2.8″ QVGA main and 1.8″ QVGA external touchscreen, media player, Bluetooth 2.0 support and the 1 GB of memory on board. Now whether this model creates waves as the new S class did is what we may have to wait & watch.

Most Hideous Mobile of 2007: Goldvish Le Million

imageA late entrant, this really has to take the prize as this year’s most stunningly hideous product. The Goldvish Le Million wasn’t, despite appearances, named by Wags but is so called because it retails for 1,000,000 EUR in red, yellow or white gold studded with diamonds and something in the order of crocodile skin.

Motorola ROKR E8 Details Emerge

imageDetails of the unannounced Motorola ROKR E8 music phone have become public on the FCC web site. The bar-style phone sports a unique flat keypad with illuminated labels that disappear into a glossy black surface when not in use. Four large piezoelectric actuators under the keypad presumably provide some form of haptic feedback. The phone also sports a landscape display, micro-USB port, sliding key lock switch, camera, stereo Bluetooth, EDGE data, and a microSD memory card slot located under the battery cover.

Bluetrek Sense Bluetooth headset

image The Sense is the latest Bluetooth headset from Bluetrek and promises a lightweight, stylish design with great call quality. But can it perform? We get calling to find out. Weighing in at 8grams and measuring 50 mm (L) x 15mm (W) in size, the headset offers a black mirror-like finish and the boast to be the first in the Bluetrek range to offer touch-sensitive technology.  That touch sensitive isn’t however as impressive as it sounds when you delve a bit deeper as the company has still opted for a physical on/off button tucked out of sight next to the earpiece on the inner side.

Adtec intros diminutive AD-HSM10 Bluetooth headset

image Considering the multitude of Bluetooth headsets out there which claim to be the smallest this world has to offer, we’re not apt to believe that ADTEC’s AD-HSM10 is actually the most diminutive, regardless of what the firm promises. Nevertheless, this wee earpiece is indeed tiny, and since this little bugger only weighs five grams, you might just forget it’s even resting in your ear canal. Reportedly, it can last through three solid hours of yappin’ (or 100 hours in standby), and just in case you’re not down with silver, there’s also a titanium version out there. ‘Course, it needn’t be mentioned just how similar this thing is to Motorola’s Miniblue H9, but regardless, those interested can snag one of their own in late January for ¥8,980 ($78).

Nokia announces new delay for N-Gage gaming

Nokia has announced yet another delay for its N-Gage online service. N-Gage was originally slated to launch in November, in part to support its N81 gaming phone; the date was then moved to this week, but the company now says that N-Gage is still in no shape for a debut. The network’s 1,000 testers are said to have encountered "unexpected difficulties," meaning that the early-adopter First Access program will not begin until after the holidays.

When it does launch, N-Gage should Nokia owners to buy, download and play a variety of cellphone games, including ones with 3D graphics. This may initially limit the network to people with the N81, but Nokia hopes to expand support to include earlier phones such as the N73, N93 and N95, and it will likely design future high-end phones with gaming in mind.
