Password-keeping software SplashID has been updated to version 4 for Windows Mobile and BlackBerry platforms, packing a couple of new features: links which open directly into the browser, four more fields, an upgraded password generator, secure record e-mailing, and some updates to the desktop client. We poked around at SplashID awhile back, but compared to DataVault, the decision should be clear. Regardless, if you’re looking for an alternative, you can pick up SplashID over here.

VITO have just updated their RingtoneEditor software to version 1.2. It’s really easy to use - just load up an MP3, then click play and choose the start and end of the ringtone. The new version brings compatibility for Samsung BlackJack and MotoQ users too.
Once you’ve chosen your start point the software will begin replaying a short part of the song from your chosen spot so that you can increase the accuracy of your start point. Once done you repeat the process for the finish point to ensure that the best part of your MP3 is played out when your phone rings

Are you calling from the bottom of a swimming pool?" the airline reservation agent patiently asked me. No, in fact, I was using Motorola’s new MOTOPURE H12 Bluetooth headset, the company’s first headset with CrystalTalk noise cancellation and voice improvement technology. Sadly, the H12 is a MOTOMISFIRE, whose muddy sound quality and lack of any perceptible noise cancellation gets a decisive thumbs-down from me.

It’s not like we haven’t seen this idea — or a close alternative, actually — conjured up before, but apparently, the Star NX788 is actually taking things beyond the drawing board. This handset features a convenient cubbyhole for your Bluetooth headset, meaning that you’ll no longer have to shove it in your pocket only to find all sorts of lint and bacteria clinging on when you chose to use it again. Additionally, the unit sports dual SIM card slots, Chinese handwriting input, a microSD expansion slot, Bluetooth / A2DP support, integrated 1.3-megapixel camera, and a 2.6-inch 320 x 240 touchscreen display. Yeah, we think it looks a little gimmicky too, but those enamored by all this added utility can snag one overseas for around $190.

The Motorola MOTORIZR Z6tv for Verizon is an excellent voice phone with a little something extra: eight channels of major network television. The third phone with Verizon’s TV service, it’s the first with an internal antenna. The previous television phones, the Samsung SCH-U620 and the LG VX9400 had giant, pop-out TV antennas. There’s a reason, too: the Z6tv has less luck in pulling in a TV signal than the U620 with its 3-inch prong. The VX9400, with a 5-inch rabbit ear, has even better reception. But you don’t even need to subscribe to Verizon’s TV service to like this phone’s long battery life, attractive shape, and pleasant voice quality.

With its gorgeous touch screen, live TV, wireless stereo music, and huge, luxurious keyboard, the super-sleek LG Voyager is a Verizon-powered broadside aimed straight at the iPhone. This device is Verizon’s top texting device, as well as the company’s top entertainment gadget. And overall, it’s a handheld that’s just plain fun to use.

What better to go with your shiny new Hello Kitty-themed phone than — wait for it — a Bluetooth headset doused in cuteness? Apparently, a pair of these very devices have managed to surface, and we’re sure gals everywhere are clamoring to get their hands, er, ear under one. Granted, we’ve no idea how well these things would actually work (nor how much they’ll cost), but the adorable factor is undeniably through the roof.
